What is it?
Instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy is a technique that uses specialized tools to treat areas of tightness and restriction in the body.
It’s used to help reduce muscle tension, improve movement, and support recovery.
How does it work?
A handheld tool is gently applied to the skin and moved over the affected area to stimulate the tissue.
This can help improve blood flow, reduce sensitivity, and allow the area to move more freely. You may feel a mild pressure or scraping sensation during treatment, which is normal.
We may use a lotion or gel during treatment to allow the tool to move smoothly and keep the experience comfortable.
This technique is often combined with movement rehab and other treatments to create longer-lasting results.
